How grubel.ai handles your data.
Last updated 2 September 2026
Who is responsible
Grubel GmbH, Oberföhringer Straße 70, 81925 München, Germany (Amtsgericht Charlottenburg, HRB 289470 B), represented by Prof. Dr. Reinhard Heckel. Email: hello@grubel.ai.
Server logs
Our host, DreamHost, LLC (Brea, California), records your IP address, the time, the page requested, the referrer, and your browser. This keeps the site running and secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted after seven days. DreamHost processes them in the United States as our processor under its Data Processing Addendum, which incorporates the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Analytics
Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Tartu, Estonia) counts visits without cookies or persistent identifiers: IP addresses are hashed with a daily-rotating salt and never stored, and all data stays on servers in the EU. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Email and the early-access form
If you write to us or use the form, we process what you send in order to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and keep it as long as the matter is open. Job applications are deleted six months after the process ends unless you ask us to keep them. The form is run by Formspree, Inc. (United States) as our processor, hosted on Amazon Web Services in the US under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses; the email address next to it reaches us without any third party.
Nothing else
No cookies, no tracking, no third-party fonts or scripts. Links to X and LinkedIn are plain links.
Your rights
You can ask us for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or a portable copy of your data, and object to processing based on our legitimate interests (Arts. 15–21 GDPR): hello@grubel.ai. You may also complain to a supervisory authority — the one where you live, or ours, the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (Art. 77 GDPR).
